We are one of the very few kindergartens that offer an aftercare program and we feel privileged to be able to do so. The children absolutely enjoy having an additional play outside after their Kindy program and our parents have found the extra hours of care, a life-saver - they say that the aftercare program helps to make their afternoons less rushed. Most of our Kindy parents work and find our aftercare program a huge benefit, as they might not have been able to enrol their child at our community Kindergarten without it. We are very fortunate to have Karen O’Neill run this program, as she has been working at Kenmore District Kindy for many years and in a variety of roles. The aftercare group is supported by a second educator each afternoon. Claudia de la Vega helps at the beginning of the week and Susan Accad helps at the end of the week.
